The Fieldbook N101 tablet is equipped with a 1.8GHz 8-core Qualcomm® processor with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage and is built for the most demanding applications. It features Android 9.0 Pie with full access to the Google Play Store and registration for Android Zero Touch. It can be deployed in any organization without difficulty.
PerformanceThe Fieldbook N101 is an Android tablet with an unusually large battery reserve. It combines IP67 with a user-replaceable main battery and is aimed at shift work without a charging break.
The display measures 10.1 inch at a resolution of 1920 x 1200. The processor is listed as Qualcomm® SDM632, Kryo™ 250 octa-core, 1.8 GHz, memory and storage as 4 GB RAM · 64 GB internal storage. Weight is 970 g.
Every figure on this page comes from the Fieldbook N101 data sheet, where each line carries its source.
The protection rating is given as IP67 – under IEC 60529 that means dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion. 5 of the 45 devices we list carry this class.
No MIL-STD test is stated in the manufacturer data sheet. We enter nothing here that is not documented.
The permitted operating temperature range is given as -20 °C to +60 °C.
Brightness is given as 450 nits. That puts the Fieldbook N101 at rank 42 of 44 devices for which a brightness figure is documented. The brightest reaches 1680 nits, the dimmest 400.
Office monitors run at 250 to 350 nits, and a display counts as sunlight readable from around 1000. This device sits between the two: outdoors shade helps, in a vehicle or a hall the figure is enough.
The manufacturer data sheet lists the following interfaces. We reproduce the list unchanged, because count and assignment can differ between build levels:
The data sheet states: Hot-swappable, 11,700 mAh + 4,000 mAh, 3.7 V [1].
A replaceable battery means the device can keep running without a shutdown, as long as the change happens within the buffer time. In shift operation that removes the charging break.
No — The manufacturer datasheet lists exactly one option (barcode scanner, optional), too few for a configurator.
Where the manufacturer data sheet states no quantified options, we enter none. That does not rule other builds out – they are simply not documented.
IP67 – dust-tight and protected against immersion.
-20 °C to +60 °C.
No. The manufacturer interface list states no serial port.
The N101 was superseded by the N101 G2. The successor brings 700 nits instead of 450 and a MIL-STD-810H test, but gives up a protection class: IP65 instead of IP67. Where submersion protection is needed, the N101 remains the choice.
For comparison: Fieldbook N101 G2.

No configurator: The manufacturer datasheet (Logic Instrument, dated 14 Jan 2020) lists exactly one option (integrated 1D/2D barcode scanner EM2096, optional). Too few options for a configurator.
