At 12.2 inches the Fieldbook P122 G2 is the largest tablet in the Fieldbook range and the only one with a Core i7 processor. That places it on the boundary between a tablet and a mobile workstation.
The display measures 12.2 inch at a resolution of 1920 x 1200. The processor is listed as Intel® Core™ i7-1255U [2], memory and storage as 16 GB RAM · 128 GB SSD (further storage options available per the manufacturer datasheet, without specific capacities stated) [3]. Weight is 1,600 g [4].
Every figure on this page comes from the Fieldbook P122 G2 data sheet, where each line carries its source.
The protection rating is given as IP65 – under IEC 60529 that means dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. 15 of the 45 devices we list carry this class.
The military standard is stated as MIL-STD-810G. Revision G dates from 2008 and is the predecessor of the revision H in common use today. MIL-STD-810 is not a certification but a set of test methods – which of them a manufacturer runs is its own decision.
The permitted operating temperature range is given as -20 °C to +60 °C.
Brightness is given as 650 nits [1]. That puts the Fieldbook P122 G2 at rank 34 of 44 devices for which a brightness figure is documented. The brightest reaches 1680 nits, the dimmest 400.
Office monitors run at 250 to 350 nits, and a display counts as sunlight readable from around 1000. This device sits between the two: outdoors shade helps, in a vehicle or a hall the figure is enough.
The manufacturer data sheet lists the following interfaces. We reproduce the list unchanged, because count and assignment can differ between build levels:
The data sheet states: 7.4 V / 6,300 mAh, replaceable without tools; backup battery 7.4 V / 700 mAh.
A replaceable battery means the device can keep running without a shutdown, as long as the change happens within the buffer time. In shift operation that removes the charging break.
A configurator is available for the Fieldbook P122 G2: Yes, interactive configurator on the product page (3 groups). It lets the build be put together before the enquiry rather than settled in conversation. The options offered there follow the choices in the manufacturer data sheet.
IP65 – dust-tight and protected against water jets. Immersion is not covered.
-20 °C to +60 °C.
