Readability and connectivity outdoors

For outdoor work we recommend a laptop or tablet rated at least IP65, meaning dust-tight and protected against water jets.

Every outdoor laptop and tablet in the range is tested to MIL-STD-810 against environmental conditions including temperature extremes, vibration and drops. The exact procedures are listed in each model’s datasheet.

Battery life across the range starts at eight hours for a full working day, with models reaching considerably longer. An optional LTE and GPS module keeps cloud documents available on the way to the next job.

Data connections such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB-A and USB-C are standard; several models also carry RS-232 for control equipment.

Typical use cases

• Readable displays in direct sunlight, on the models that offer the option.
• Documentation and photographs on site, also in rain and dust.
• Optional LTE, 5G and GPS where the network is unreliable.
