The SPARK 7 sits apart from the rest of the range. It is built as a control unit for unmanned systems and carries the brightest display of all 45 devices we list, at 1680 nits. Where a screen has to be read outdoors against direct sun, that is the figure that decides it. For comparison, the second brightest device reaches 1400 nits.
The model name states the equipment: GNSS with RTK correction for centimetre-level positioning, Android 14 as the platform, and a flight controller role. That separates it from the other RuggON models, which are either mounted in vehicles or carried as handhelds. The optional Nett Warrior interface in the connector list points the same way – it comes from dismounted soldier equipment and connects to radio and command systems.
The display measures 7 inch at a resolution of 1080p. The processor is listed as Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ QCS6490, memory and storage as 8 GB RAM · 128 GB storage, expandable via microSD. Weight is –.
Every figure on this page comes from the RuggON SPARK 7 data sheet, where each line carries its source.
The protection rating is given as IP65 – under IEC 60529 that means dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. 15 of the 45 devices we list carry this class.
The military standard is stated as MIL-STD-810H. Revision H replaced revision G in 2019 and adds test methods for rain and icing, among others. MIL-STD-810 is not a certification but a set of test methods – which of them a manufacturer runs is its own decision.
The permitted operating temperature range is given as -20 °C to 50 °C.
Brightness is given as 1,680 nits. That puts the RuggON SPARK 7 at rank 1 of 44 devices for which a brightness figure is documented. The brightest reaches 1680 nits, the dimmest 400.
A display is generally counted as sunlight readable from around 1000 nits. This device sits above that line and stays legible in direct sun.
The manufacturer data sheet lists the following interfaces. We reproduce the list unchanged, because count and assignment can differ between build levels:
The data sheet states: Hot-swappable battery pack, capacity not stated; alternatively powered via AC adapter (65 W/20 V).
A replaceable battery means the device can keep running without a shutdown, as long as the change happens within the buffer time. In shift operation that removes the charging break.
A configurator is available for the RuggON SPARK 7: Yes, interactive configurator on the product page (2 groups). It lets the build be put together before the enquiry rather than settled in conversation. The options offered there follow the choices in the manufacturer data sheet.
IP65 – dust-tight and protected against water jets. Immersion is not covered.
-20 °C to 50 °C.
No. The manufacturer interface list states no serial port.
