The VORTEX 07X 7-inch touch panel is equipped with the powerful Intel® Raptor Lake processor, delivering fast processing and improved responsiveness for demanding applications — ideal for complex workflows. Advanced connectivity options and remote maintenance features simplify integration into networks. In addition, Anti-Noise technology ensures clear audio communication in loud environments, while the dynamic light sensor automatically adjusts screen brightness to changing lighting conditions — including direct sunlight — for optimal readability.
7" TFT-LCD WSVGA (1024 x 600), 500 nits brightness
The VORTEX 07X is the x86 counterpart to the VIKING II 07A: same form factor, same display size, but an Intel processor instead of Qualcomm. Choosing between the two is therefore mainly a question of the software that has to run on it.
The display measures 7 inch at a resolution of 1024 x 600 (WSVGA). The processor is listed as Intel® Core™ i5-1335UE (Raptor Lake, up to 4.5 GHz), optional Intel® Atom x7211E (up to 3.2 GHz), memory and storage as DDR5 SDRAM up to 16 GB · SSD M.2 2242 up to 256 GB. Weight is 1.67 kg.
Every figure on this page comes from the RuggON VORTEX 07X data sheet, where each line carries its source.
The protection rating is given as IP65 – under IEC 60529 that means dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. 15 of the 45 devices we list carry this class.
The military standard is stated as MIL-STD-810H. Revision H replaced revision G in 2019 and adds test methods for rain and icing, among others. MIL-STD-810 is not a certification but a set of test methods – which of them a manufacturer runs is its own decision.
The permitted operating temperature range is given as Atom x7211E: -30 °C to 60 °C · Core i5-1335UE: -30 °C to 55 °C.
Brightness is given as 500 nits. That puts the RuggON VORTEX 07X at rank 38 of 44 devices for which a brightness figure is documented. The brightest reaches 1680 nits, the dimmest 400.
Office monitors run at 250 to 350 nits, and a display counts as sunlight readable from around 1000. This device sits between the two: outdoors shade helps, in a vehicle or a hall the figure is enough.
The manufacturer data sheet lists the following interfaces. We reproduce the list unchanged, because count and assignment can differ between build levels:
The data sheet states: Internal backup battery for controlled shutdown (no main battery value stated).
The internal battery is a buffer, not the main supply: it holds the device up long enough for a controlled shutdown when vehicle power drops. Continuous operation assumes a fixed power feed.
A configurator is available for the RuggON VORTEX 07X: Yes, interactive configurator on the product page (4 groups). It lets the build be put together before the enquiry rather than settled in conversation. The options offered there follow the choices in the manufacturer data sheet.
IP65 – dust-tight and protected against water jets. Immersion is not covered.
Atom x7211E: -30 °C to 60 °C · Core i5-1335UE: -30 °C to 55 °C.
Yes – see the interface list quoted above.
The VORTEX 07X is the connector-heavy variant among the 7-inch vehicle devices. Where fewer interfaces are needed and weight matters, the VIKING II 07A is the lighter alternative on a Qualcomm platform at 1.25 kg instead of 1.67 kg.
